Addisen's Milestones!

Addisen (weighed in at 20lbs 0oz at her last visit a week ago). She is talking up a STORM and is now using walking as her main mode of transportation. She still crawls a little when she is in a hurry though. Her current repoitoire of words includes:
"hi"
"bye"
"dada"
"dad"
"mom"
"mama"
"dog"
"doggie"
"ball"
"hat"
"hot"
She also repeats most words (or attempts to) when we say them and is making animal sounds when she feels like it. She is trying to say "kitty" and "sissy" as well now too. She is also speaking in 2 word sentences and puts words together on her own. She says things like "hi doggie" while she waves to Kenzie and "hi dada" when she plays telephone.

She can identify mom, dad, sister and baby in a photograph as well as animals and objects in books. She can also identify body parts (eye, nose, foot and belly button) and can say "eye" when she pokes-- I mean points-- to your eye. If you ask her where her belly button is, she pulls up her round belly and pokes her button and giggles. HA HA!!! She is also trying to dress herself here and there by putting her shirt on her head (but can't get it over her head) and putting socks and shoes on her feet (but can't get them on). She can, however, get her pants OFF! Nice. Duct tape here we come!

Socially, she is usually pretty easy going and waves "hi" to everyone, but is also going thru an attachment phase (though less dramatic than Parker).

Addisen is a TOTAL love bug and oozes sugar and love. She likes throw pillows and grabs them, cuddles them and throws herself down on them. If you tell her to give her baby "hugs and love" she will pick up her doll and squish her tight with a hug up near her neck. She blows kisses, gives kisses and generally adores me, daddy and Parker. Its a rarity for her to be fussy or mad and if she is, all she needs is some cuddling and a tea party to feel better. She is attached very much to her silkie blanket and can drag it from her bed with her when she gets up from naps. Though, I do make her take it back to bed and tuck it in once playtime has begun..."ok Addie, silkie is going night-night now...give it hugs and love" and she will hug it and hand it over. So sweet!

In many ways the girls are so much alike but generally, they are total opposites. Its hilarious that two little girls who look so much alike are so different!
