Its not wrong to...

...put your babies down in their cribs for a 'break' at 5:45 PM while you enjoy a half glass of red wine in the peace of the office, is it? Well, is it?

I mean, they have been fed, they have been comforted, they have played (probably too much play) but they insist on screaming bloody murder and whining all over the house. Not to mention that you still have bath time, lotion, PJ's, milk and teeth to brush totally by yourself.

I have to say- I hate this time of day more than any other time. I enjoy watching them giggle and splash in the tub but drying two babies off by yourself, dressing them alone (often involving one baby running off naked and getting into total mayhem because you are distracted with the other baby), keeping them both safe in and out of the tub totally unassisted and then having the evening fussies without an extra set of hands makes life HELL.

Just had to get that out of my system...now, back to my wine. Coffee. I mean coffee. ;)

It is today NOT wrong :)
You deserved a little break and glass of wine. I'm sure they were perfectly content playing in their cribs for a bit anyway. Every mom needs a break now and then...especially a twinner mommy!

I am in AWE of you bathing two tots all by yourself! I think it's hard to give Barrett and bath and get him lotioned and in his jammies by myself. Next time I think I'm having a hard time with that...I'll certainly think of you.

Go enjoy your coffee/wine and have a great day :)

Ha ha ha. I love it. Hell NO it's not wrong. On Friday night I felt the same way. I had all three boys in the bath like a frickin' assembly line. Wash hair, wash hair, wash hair, rinse, rinse, rinse, scrub, scrub, scrub. I dried one off and let him run, the other off and let him run, the other off and while your trying to quickly dress the first one the other one is peeing on his bedding and the third one is standing on the bathroom sink staring at his butt for some reason. Forget the lotion these kids are lucky to get into their jammies and zipped all the way! At that point after stripping off the sheets what I wouldn't have given for a glass of wine.....nevermind that, how about a bottle of RUM!!!!! Your not alone Jess I feel your pain!
