A trip to the 'Developmental Follow-Up Clinic'

On Wednesday Jason and I had to have the girls and ourselves up, dressed, ready and packed up by 7:15 AM! The girls never usually even wake up til 8:00 so this was very interesting. We managed to get it done and get to Sacramento in time for the girls 2nd developmental follow-up clinic. This is something they had to do at 7.5-8 months as well (6 months adjusted age). This is a clinic that the hospital does for preemies and multiples who were in their NICU and at 'high risk'...an early intervention service and screening basically. Last time we passed with flying colors and the girls were on target with their age group and didn't even need the adjustment for prematurity. This time was even BETTER! Yeah for our baby Einsteins! ;)

They are still pretty little. Parker weighed 21lbs and was 30". Her head is in the 95th percentile! LOL! They actually said if it reaches the 97th percentile, we need to have an ultrasound done. That was sort of concerning since our ped has never mentioned it. Addisen is sturdier than Parker (her frame is much bigger) but the scale only puts her at 1lb more than Miss P.

They are ahead on gross motor, fine motor, vocab and cognition. I was so proud of my baby girls!!! It was surreal to make that 1 hour drive again...we made it so many times to labor & delivery and many more during the NICU time. It was almost laughable to do it this time with the girls talking up a storm and eating oatmeal on the way down. My oh my, how far we've come! ;)
