Quality time with Mommy

In our house it pays to be the first one up or the last one down from naps...whoever wakes up first gets some much needed alone time with Mommy or Daddy. If the schedule gets off and someone is not ready for a nap at naptime, that girl gets alone time too!

Finding individual time and quality time for each baby is one of the big challenges of raising multiples. Its different from parents of more than one child who can try to explain to the older child or let the baby cry, etc... Two infants or two newborns don't know patience or waiting turns or sharing. Finding that balance to meet two sets of needs at once is always a fine line that we walk.

Today, Addisen woke up first from her afternoon nap and got some MUCH NEEDED Mommy time. I find that Addisen is more needy of my attention and does better all around when she gets more individual time. Today, she got dinner all by herself- just her and mommy and her BIG treat-- a baby 'cookie' with banana YoBaby yogurt to dip it in! Mmmmmmmmm!

She was so happy to have some one on one time that I even managed to catch the ever elusive 'Addie smile' on camera!
